The workshop introduced and provided training for the use of the NDSA levels of digital preservation as an organizational planning tool. Participants Nadjah Ríos and Mirerza González learned about and reviewed each of the functional areas of the NDSA levels (storage, integrity, control, metadata, and content) and discussed and reviewed how the issues raised in each area relate to the work of the Diaspora Project. Their assessment on digital preservation included identifying next actions to mitigate the most pressing digital preservation risks they face. The resulting document can be consulted here:
