2014.08 — DLOC: DIGITAL LIBRARY OF THE CARIBBEAN (COLLABORATIVE NETWORKING)

Date: August 2014

Activity:  Developing a Collaborative Relationship with the Digital Library of the Caribbean (dLOC)

Our collaboration started in August 2014, as Dr. Laurie Taylor and Dr. Leah Rosernberg provided guidance and support to migrate materials and contents displayed in Diaspora Project’s first website into dLOC.

This collaboration has been extended to the active role played by dLOC in supporting our work with the community archives of Vieques and Culebra by means of sharing knowledge, equipment and training in digital preservation. Together we have engaged in several projects, sharing of network of resources and consulting experiences.

Since 2019, the Diaspora Project’s main researchers, Nadjah Ríos Villarini & Mirerza González-Vélez, are members of dLOC’s advisory board.
